Simon Causer is a professional tree surgeon and arborist with over 10 years experience working for himself, other London tree surgeons, and the London Borough of Ealing. Recently, Simon has worked on trees at the former Guardian building, St George's Church Bloomsbury, and HMP Wormwood Scrubs.

Simon has experience working in all aspects of tree work (including working in partnership with local authorities and subcontracting). He regularly works in conservation areas and is experienced in dealing with councils over Tree Preservation Orders [TPOs].

Simon has co-ordinated tree felling and pruning over some of London's major roads and follows all British Standards guidelines.

Simon has the experience and ability to assess risky situations and manage them with care to ensure maximum safety for people, trees and buildings.

He also acts as an expert witness in litigation cases.

Qualifications

• National Proficiency Tests (NPTs) 30 ,31,38,39
• Arial rescuer (affiliated to the National Proficiency Tests Council - see www.nptc.org.uk for more details)
• Chapter 16 (Road & signage management)
• Diploma in Horticulture phase 3 (City & Guilds - see www.city-and-guilds.co.uk)
• First Aid (ABC)
